Database publishing for the Airone Comunicazione

Airone Comunicazione assigned LanMan Associati to develop a data-publishing platform for the design of promotional leaflets distributed all over Italy, concerning high consumption products.

Intervention strategy

The data-publishing system receives in input a text list -usually in Excel format- of the products to be represented in the leaflet, divided according to the different distribution areas. Afterwards, the system extrapolates the data and reorganizes them in a quick, simple and comprehensible way, associating each leaflet product to the corresponding file image. Finally, it formats the data according to preset styles and generates in output a file that can be managed by a desktop publishing software.
Thanks to the automation of the promotional leaflet design process main phases (data and images choice and import), it is possible obtain a considerable working time reduction, together with a more careful data accuracy control.
The content management is based on an additional database designed to support the system.
