This activity implies the use of the network connection to acquire training aid and the development of several activities through a specific technology called "technological platform". This “"technological platform” (LMS) ) is a basic component of "e-Learning", which has the function to manage the distribution and completion of training. In its database all the information regarding courses and users are recorded. This feature allows the user to access his educational offers at any time, using a computer with internet connection, and generally without downloading software. The contents of these educational courses can be in various formats: simple html pages, 2D-3D animations, audio or video contributions, interactive exercises, etc…
It's important that the material are designed to assure the fundamental features of On-line training:
Modularity: the material has to be structured in didactical modules (also called Learning Object), so that the user can customize the times and ways to use his own contents.
Interactivity: the user must interact with the educational format.
Interoperabilità: the didactical materials should be predisposed to be distributed on every technological platform (to achieve this aim we have studied various standards, and the most used was the SCORM).
Exhaustively: Learning Object must correspond to a goal and guide the user to its achievement.
e-Learning assures a high degree of independence along the educational path, considering the total absence of physical and temporal bonds. Moreover, it's possible to continuously monitor our learning level tracing the path and through the several (frequent) moments of evaluation.
To propose e-Learning means to keep up the pace with technology.
